Refunds And Returns Policy

At Marius Prinsloo Art, we take great pride in the quality of our artwork and products. We want to ensure that our customers are completely satisfied with their purchases. Please review the following policies regarding refunds and returns:

Original Artwork and Custom Commissions

Due to the nature of original artwork and custom commissions, all sales of paintings are final and non-refundable. Each piece is created with meticulous attention to detail, and we aim to provide you with high-quality work that meets your expectations. Before completing a purchase of original artwork or commissioning a custom piece, please ensure you are satisfied with your choice.

Damage During Shipping

If your artwork arrives damaged due to shipping, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. To process a claim, we require the following:

  • Photos of the damaged artwork.

  • Photos of the packaging the artwork arrived in.

Once we have received the necessary documentation, we will evaluate the situation and determine whether a replacement, repair, or refund is appropriate. Please note that all decisions regarding refunds or replacements for damaged artwork are made on a case-by-case basis.

Gift Products (Placemats, Coasters, Fridge Magnets, etc.)

For our range of gift products, including placemats, coasters, fridge magnets, cushions, zip covers, and kitchen towels, we offer a 7-day return policy. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return the item under the following conditions:

  • The product must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as when it was received.

  • You must initiate the return within 7 days of receiving your order.

Process for Returning Gift Products

  • Contact us at info@mariusprinsloo.co.za to request a return.

  • Once your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how to return the product.

  • You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the product arrived damaged or defective.

After receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will notify you of the status of your refund. If the return is approved, a refund will be processed, and the credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method within a certain number of days.

Damaged or Defective Gift Products

If you receive a gift product that is damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will ask for:

  • Photos of the damaged or defective item.

  • Photos of the packaging it arrived in.

We will work with you to offer a replacement or refund, depending on the situation.

Shipping Costs

Unless the item you received was damaged or defective, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we have received and inspected the returned item. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable:

  • Custom commissioned artwork.

  • Original paintings.

  • Sale items or discounted products.
